New Beginnings of Tampa operates a large Transitional Housing and Homeless Recovery Program that provides unaccompanied men and women over the age of 18 with a safe place to live. We want to serve as a safety net and help our residents complete their education and enhance employment and independent living skills.
This support comes in individualized programs based on the residents needs. Our benefit advocacy approach is multifaceted. We begin by determining the residents needs - such as educational opportunities; GED preparation/ vocational education, job training or as basic as applying for valid i.d., SNAP benefits and healthcare programs.
We are especially proud to offer our U.S. military veterans with an environment conducive to their health and welfare. We work together with the Veterans Administration and through James A. Haley Veterans Hospital for homeless veterans to improve their morale, sense of ownership and pride.
Our goal is to provide people with a place to live while moving toward a more permanent housing situation.
Our heart is in helping others stabilize their life.
